Jody Cooley, owner of Unibrow Art, was born in the small town of Mattoon, Illinois in 1970 where she began practicing art at a very early age. By age 21, Jody was inspired to move to Chicago where she began carving out her creative path. Eager to share her experiences and inspire others she co- founded an art program for adults with developmental disabilities called Arts of Life. Years later in 2006 Jody founded yet another art program, Graffiti Zone, for at-risk kids on Chicago’s west side, encouraging kids to express themselves through art, all while promoting business and social skills as well as positive thinking. Jody is a self- taught artist, working with many platforms, including mixed media, painting, sculpture, photography and pretty much anything inspiring she can find in the trash.
Jody Cooley was juried in to the Three Rivers Artists Guild April 12, 2015.
