The Fall Color Tour Art Market at the Carnegie was another success for the Guild! The 12 artists who exhibited met many new people and some old friends as well. It was a pleasure to be set up in the Carnegie Center For the Arts and Director Donna Grubbs made us feel right at home. We agreed there is much more to do together for the Carnegie and the Guild.
All the artists created lovely spaces with their work. Judi Brook greeted the first entrants with her beautiful fiber arts. Carol Dugan set her photos up in front of the fireplace. The Armstrong room was filled with sunshine and Cheryl Peck’s art-gourds and photos, Matt Barnes’ photos and cards, Mary Powers’ metalsmithed jewelry, Joan Hector’s pastels and watercolors, Dorothy Brueck’s raku pottery, and Becky Hackenberg’s art-cards and photograph’s. The Wong Gallery hosted Carol Donnelly’s watercolors, Kathy Bingaman’s jewelry and Brian Brook’s found-metal sculptures. As usual, we enjoyed being together as artists as much as being an art market.
Our Holiday Art Market/Gallery will have its Grand Opening Nov. 27th and 28th the Sat.& Sun. after Thanksgiving at 54 N. Main in Three Rivers. The Gallery will continue through Christmas Eve. More to come on this soon.
