Despite the 95 degree heat, the Second Sunday in the Park Art Market was another lovely success. Everyone seemed to be having fun getting to know one another and learning about others’ work. Not many sales, but a reasonable turn-out of people for a scorching afternoon. And, our reputation is growing thanks to all the artists putting on a beautiful Market!
And THANK YOU! again to MethodStar, Nathan and Nich for the wonderful music that is not “background”, but an artistic complement to the visual art. We are so grateful! Hopefully they will have CDs for sale next time 🙂
We welcome Cheryl Peck to the Guild, whose gourd vessels, photos and books graced the Market Sunday and Carol Dugan, whose photographs took us to lots of beautiful places. We now total 20 artists and growing! Next month’s Market will include two more new artists- Judi Brook, fiber arts and Dorothy Brueck, raku. We look forward to their joining us.
Rather than suffer the heat on Sunday, we wisely chose to reschedule the meeting for Monday August 17 at 7:00 pm.
