Christine Misner has organized a show of paintings by Joan Hector’s Watercolor Circle and the Three Rivers Artists Guild Members at St. John’s Lutheran Church for Sunday, October 25, in conjunction with a special event, “Spirit Rhythms”, featuring music and a chili lunch. The event starts at 1:00 at St. John’s, 56050 Buckhorn Rd., Three Rivers, MI.

Music, which features the excellent five piece “Evidence” jazz band — and also the 338th Army Band! — starts a 2pm; chili is served starting at 1:00. Also offered are various desserts. The artwork, which will also be offered for sale, will continue to hang quietly on the wall throughout, listening to the music.

On November 7, 2009, from 10 am to 4pm, another event will be held in the same location, 56050 Buckhorn Rd., Three Rivers, to raise funds towards medical bills for the family of Carley Cottingham. In addition to the watercolors, a number of local businesses will have items for sale, donating at least 20% of the proceeds to the Cottingham family.
